The PlanetSide 2 Public Test Server will come down this evening for an update.

Construction:

  • Orbital Strike will now die properly, when destroying the core.
  • Orbital strike can now be used in No-Deploy/No-Construction Zones
  • Silos will no longer power enemy construction.
  • Structure Shield Module, Skyshield Module, and AI Module should no longer show red when placed next to each other.
  • You should no longer be able to place construction objects under the ground or in the air.
  • Certain Modules should no longer decay while being powered.
  • Howler siege damage will now work on all factions, not just Vanu.
  • Pillbox structure shield should no longer flash on and off.
Known Bugs:

  • Resists for Siege weapons are not functioning.
  • Welding tool and Deconstructor tool will overlap if bought in the same life.
  • Projectiles from the IPC Targeting Device are not showing up.
  • Elysium Spawn Tube does not Decay.

Orbital strike can be use in no deploy/construction places now? Will be interesting to see the effects of that.
Highly trained professional in making it look like I know what I'm doing.

My thaught too. I can't wait to use this on a TR/VS fight in base like TI Alloyis ;D
It's quite perfect for the central of the map.

Time to get the strike. That makes some bases pretty interesting, especially with high mountens around.

This is a deal breaker and incredibly key part to the change sundy placements rules last year.
There is now no building anymore which can be bunkerd till the end of the day.

You can use it as a defense to clean the point or even for attack.
Just imagine Indar Comm. Enemy pop is rising and they push out of the spawn....but then you set the strike on the building in between.
Actually it's even a question how much security do you get in a spawnroom.

If you build one strike in the middle of Ceres and Allatum Bio Lab you should be able to get plenty of bases in range which are often contested.

It just need a bit of preperation. But i can say as i didi it with Synho already: You can set this strike with fly by from a Valkery or just with a cloaked flash....and nothing is more bad ass as ruining the day of a huge group with one little glowing bullet from the seat of a Valk.

Defens building will be the new shit. Save behind your lines a orbitel and when the enmie trys to get the base and not destroy the orbital first....BOOM!!!!

NO, PTS (public test server) and jeager are two different server.
