Here we go guys! The final event is coming closer!

Some of you have already been part of it, some may have heard stories about.
The idea is easy: We are bringing up 4 squads with best communication and dedicated goals to Auraxis to bring fear to our enemies!


The four divisions divide up into “Point Hold”, “Flanking/Logistics”, “Armoured Warfare” and “Air Superiority” – each of them lead by two officers for maximum impact.

Division “Point Hold” will be the fast infantry focussed force on point, dropping fast, preparing pre caps and trying to hold as long as possible until reinforcements arrive.

Division “Flanking/Logistics” will be the second punch, providing spawn options and keeping the outskirts of the base under our control. When things go hot, they will be the fighting side by side with the “Point Hold” Division. This is the squad with the biggest variety in tasks, so prepare for fast incoming orders!

Division “Armoured Warfare” will be our back bone – crushing enemy tanks and keeping our spawns up. They will provide the fire power so that our infantry can deal with the enemy within the base without minding Prowlers or Magriders shelling the point.

Division “Air Superiority” are the guys high above, diving in and out of the battle. As one of the most difficult tasks they have to provide surveillance and firepower at the same time. They will be around (not over) the base the platoon is fighting at, killing enemy air support and calling out enemy troop transporters. In the last 30 seconds of important base caps they will dive in and give hell to the dangerous last push.

It will make it far easier to manage the event and gives your leaders the option to adapt to the strengths of his squad.


As this is my last event for at least 6 months I hope that we can have an epic night all together! See ya on the battlefield!

Currently very very busy... so I will probably need until sunday to update these events.

But it would be really great to organise already some teaser events to a) make some advertisement and b) get more experience in the combined arms gameplay. Would anybody be up for setting something up ? Air + Ground, Ground + Inf maybe?

Do you have already some ideas to build this up and to improve the organisation before the event and to have an even better night as the last time?

It would be really cool to get 8 Sls, the position of the CO officer was really helpful!

Pff... ok i dont play this game lately (1 year) only on infantry.... What the fuck they done with AA Turets... ist uselles... Few m away and bullets will disapier?

BLNG Gang squad with tons of experienced players hunt down anyone who try fly togheter... Ok... I can beat 1v1 maybe 2v1. But lots of other guys cant even  try to go vs them...

I dont know if only pure Air squad will work on next event... in the end we try run with couple of AA sunders and rest in the Air... and its not that bad.
Try consider it Wolk for next time and come up with stategy to counter enemy Gang squad not only with ESF

We could try to work more closely together with air and vehicle squad. Nothing is more fun then to hit a Mosquito or Scythe (or Reaver :D) with a Titan AP. We could even lay some traps next time where our pilots lure them in to a preped position with lock ons + AA guns waiting.

It was an awesome night, actually a shame that it was my last one for a long time...
As for this, I will make my review a little bit shorter than normally:


In general:
Platoon build up:
Next time please please please don't have premade platoon up. It makes things far more difficult to manage.
The way to go: Platoon lead opens up, invites the SLs and they invite the people they need for their squad. With this every SL can manage it and nobody needs to be switched around.

Google Doc:
Was bit messy, as I didn't see it coming that people would enlist them in two different parts of the doc (platoon overview and the divisions itself). My fault, learned the lesson.
I am very sorry that I didn't have space for people who enlisted and didnt get space because of this - I take full responsibility.


Divisions:
Point hold:
Struggeled in the beginning (many people without microphone = less communication), but later one was a great force. Special call out to the newer guys in Alpha, in the second part you rocked!

Logistics:
Great work with the Spawnoptions! That was amazing - simply as that. Depending on situation, the switching to infantry could have been a little bit faster, but this was more a problem with the fights itself. Overall good job!

Armoured Warfare:

Burning prowlers for the win. Here I have to call out the great communication over command channel. Precise, asking for orders when needed, providing feedback and situation reports when due. Armored force looked from PL perspective great, sometimes facing huge overpops and still holding.
The thing I would like to add would be to focus more on defending our main spawn options to maintain the fight, but this would come with time and more combined ops events.

Air Squad:
Here again great coms and good call outs. Very adaptive squad as you got hunted by some of the best pilots in the whole game. Still provided air cover and call outs. Sometimes it is difficult to be a reaver on Auraxis, but you handeled it well.

Combined arms:
Armoured + Infantry:
Timing could have been better from time to time. Mostly I think the infantry was to fast, as the tanks arrived one minute late (driving 40 tons of death takes it time). Should be adressed next time with giving the armoured division a little more time.

Armoured + Air
Air struggled alot, so maybe we will try to combine their coms the next time - open for ideas.
Setting up AA traps or shelling a tank line from behind would be the to goals next time. This takes practise, so we should try it the next time.

Infantry + Air
Escorting transport vehicles should be something we have to do the next time.

Again, I can simply thank all for the great platoon, we kicked ass and had amazing caps.

And in the end, I have a simple question: Does anybody want to organise the next one?

Though I'd suppose the one who is to lead should have a clear and succinct idea of the events' contents ( which is most definitely the organiser). Of course, if the organiser is to host a preliminary meeting regarding his/her event with a few volunteers who opt to lead it would make it far more viable - and a bit of a hassle as a specific time would be needed for all the volunteers to be on TS
