The PlanetSide 2 Public Test Server will come down this evening for an update.
Koltyr VR
The continent of Koltyr has been repurposed as a VR training area. Please let us know if you run into any strangeness with this zone. UI changes and additional improvements are coming at a later date.
- This area can be reached from the world map screen, or a Warp Gate Terminal.
- Up to two instances of Koltyr can exist at any time currently.
- Up to 33 players on each of the three factions can make use of this continent.
- Experience gain is disabled.
- Air Vehicles are disabled.
- Flash, Sunderer, and Lightning are the only available ground vehicles.
Dev Note: In the future we plan on disabling friendly fire in Koltyr, right now it remaining enabled
Bug Fixes and Misc. Additions
- Made some adjustments to the way Tank Mines function internally to help improve responsiveness, these changes are speculative.
- Instant Action should no longer take you into cut off territory.
- Vehicle queue times should no longer be excessively long while at the terminal.
- Fixes for alert timers not appearing for some clients.
- NS Deep Freeze should now be purchasable.
- Skyshield should no longer turn itself off. We are still addressing an issue with the module’s billboard FX not appearing.
- Cortium Tap has been removed.
- C4 once again shows the correct icon on the death screen.
- Ceres Hydroponics should once again be capturable.
- The Crown’s “D” point should once again be capturable.
- Faction specific “gold” pistol variants should no longer use outdated pistol stats.
