Miller login issues

We're having some login issues on Miller. We're going to lock the server for a few minutes to help alleviate the problem.

 

The issue is that after the merge, we have lots of 'new' players logging onto Miller (new to Miller, that is) and it's hitting the DB hard as those players' info is set up for the first time. It's more intensive to set up a player with a long play history than a new player, since it's accessing the DB more.

 

Bad news: Not sure why this isn't happening with the other merged servers, might just be the real heavy pop on Miller? So we're still investigating that.

 

Good news: This is a short term issue and should not last, once we have the initial log ins over with this weekend.
